About Goose & Co

Goose & Co. was created for dog parents who care deeply about their dogs and want a grooming experience that actually feels good for everyone involved.

We’re a modern, neighborhood dog grooming studio built around calm energy, thoughtful care, and doing things a little differently. That means no rushing, no stacked appointments, and no chaotic salon vibes. Just gentle handling, happy dogs, and an environment that feels warm, welcoming, and intentionally unhurried.

We believe grooming works best when dogs feel safe and relaxed. When that happens, they’re more comfortable, the groom looks better, and the whole experience is easier (and nicer) for everyone. It’s a win all around.

Over time, that philosophy naturally led us deeper into skin and coat health. We’ve seen firsthand how much a dog’s comfort, behavior, and overall wellbeing are connected to what’s happening at the skin level. That’s why Goose & Co. is building a specialty focus in skin health — with formal training in pet esthetics and ongoing education centered on allergies, coat imbalance, and chronic skin concerns.

We’re not just grooming dogs.

We’re paying attention to their skin.

At Goose & Co., every detail is chosen with care — from the way dogs are handled to the atmosphere of the space itself. Our goal is simple: to create a place where dogs are treated with kindness, owners feel supported, and grooming feels like something you can actually look forward to.

Because dogs deserve better and we think grooming should be better, too!

Meet Goose

Goose is the heart of Goose & Co. and honestly, the reason this place exists at all.

I adopted Goose from the SPCA after leaving a pretty toxic work environment and deciding it was time to slow things way down. Enter Goose: three months old, wildly curious, extremely food-motivated, and very committed to doing things on her own timeline.

Training Goose taught me a lot, mostly patience. And flexibility. And the importance of meeting someone where they are instead of forcing them to move faster. She was a handful (still is), deeply obsessed with birds, and famous for chewing absolutely anything she could get her paws on (fortunately, she spared the handbags and heels!). Boxes didn’t stand a chance. Neither did most toys…except for one tiny stuffed clementine that she lovingly nibbles and carries around like it’s made of glass.

Goose is playful, quirky, and full of personality. She’s happiest roughhousing with her best friend Indi (a pomsky next door), snacking whenever possible, and reminding everyone around her to loosen up just a little.

Watching Goose grow up made one thing very clear: when dogs are rushed, pushed, or overwhelmed, nobody wins. But when you slow down, stay patient, and let dogs move at their own pace, everything changes. That idea..learning to be calm, flexible, and respectful, became the foundation of Goose & Co.

We didn’t just name the studio after her.

We built it around what she taught us.

Meet Your Groomers

The Goose & Co. grooming team is made up of people who genuinely love dogs, not just grooming them, but understanding them.

I’m very picky about who joins this team, because Goose & Co. isn’t just a workplace, it’s meant to feel like a small, supportive family. I look for people who are kind, patient, curious, and deeply tuned in to dogs. The kind of groomers who talk to dogs like they’re people, notice the little things, and care just as much about how a dog feels as how a groom turns out.

Great technical skills matter, of course but heart matters more. Every groomer at Goose & Co. shares the same approach: slow things down, meet dogs where they are, and treat each one like an individual (because they are). No rushing, no chaos, and no one-size-fits-all grooming here.

As our studio grows, you’ll be able to meet the team right here, learn their specialties, their favorite dogs to work with, and maybe even a few fun facts about their own pups. Until then, just know this: we’re building a team with as much heart as skill, and we’re really proud of the people who will be part of it.

Meet The Owner

Hi, I’m Heather, the founder of Goose & Co., lifelong dog lover, and former rule-setter who now lets her dog sleep on the couch. (Some rules don’t survive Goose.)

Before Goose & Co., I spent years in fast-paced worlds: opening and running restaurants, producing events, and working closely with ultra high–net-worth clients. I learned how to juggle a lot, move quickly, and make sure details actually matter. But somewhere along the way, I realized I wanted to build something slower, more personal, and a lot more meaningful.

Dogs have always been the constant. I’m obsessed with them …how they think, how they communicate, and how much better life is when you pay attention to their needs instead of rushing them. As Goose grew up (and tested every ounce of my patience), I started to understand how powerful it can be to slow down, stay flexible, and let dogs move at their own pace.

While I leave the day-to-day grooming to our talented professionals, I’ve completed formal grooming education and training and was mentored by an experienced industry professional who understands both the craft and the business of grooming. That foundation allows me to thoughtfully shape everything at Goose & Co. — from safety standards and equipment choices to the overall experience for dogs and their people.

In addition to formal grooming education, I’m pursuing advanced training as a certified pet esthetician with a focus on skin health and coat integrity. That education shapes how we select products, structure services, and support dogs dealing with allergies, sensitivities, or chronic skin challenges.

Goose & Co. is the result of all of that coming together: my background in hospitality, my love of dogs, and my belief that dogs deserve better care, better environments, and better experiences. My goal is simple, to create a place where dogs feel safe, owners feel supported, and grooming feels like something you can actually feel good about.

And yes… Goose still sleeps on the couch.
